2 oz unsweetened chocolate (2 squares if using Bakers) [56 g]
½ tsp salt
1 cup sugar [200 g]
1 ¼ cup flour [163 g]
1 pkg (4 oz) Chocolate pudding mix [112 g]
¾ tsp baking soda
Securely wrap unsweetened chocolate in plastic wrap and set aside. Sift together flour, salt and baking soda. Layer in jar in this order: flour mixture, pudding mix, sugar and wrapped chocolate.

Chocolate Pudding Cake
1 Jar Chocolate Pudding Cake Mix
1 ¼ cup water [313 ml]
¼ cup oil [50 g]
½ tsp vanilla
Melt unsweetened chocolate. In a medium bowl, beat together chocolate, sugar, oil, vanilla, water and cake mix. Beat 2 minutes. Pour into lightly oiled 7 x 12-inch baking dish, and bake at 350°F for about 30-35 minutes.
