Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method

3/4 cup [150 g] olive oil
1/4 cup [63 ml] balsamic vinegar
1 shallot -- finely chopped
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper

Combine all ingredients in a jar. Close tightly, and shake vigorously.
Use on poultry.
